\"henseltflyer<\/a>As early as the foundation of the International-Henselt-Society in 2002 festivals and symposia take place in Henselt\u2019s birth town<\/p>\n

2014 marked the commemoration the 125th anniversary of Henselt\u2019s death and his 200th birthday.<\/p>\n

In May of this year a four days festival and a concert \u201cWohllaut und Klangzauber\u201d in November took place.<\/p>\n

The May festival started with a concert of the municipal music school \u201cAdolph-von-Henselt Musikschule\u201d. For the first time students across all age groups engaged themselves extensively with Henselt\u2019s music after whom the school was named.<\/p>\n

The Metropolmusik e.V. composed the \u201cStationenkonzert\u201d in the town museum on commission from the city of Schwabach under the musical direction of the jazz musician Peter Fulda who was also born in Schwabach.<\/p>\n

The big anniversary concert presented the Henselt choir (just founded for this occasion), the Schwabach chamber orchestra under the musical direction of Vladimir Kowalenko as well as the Rosenholz-Trio performing Henselt\u2019s Trio op. 24 and the English virtuosic pianist Daniel Grimwood performing the piano concert f-minor as a soloist.<\/p>\n

The festivity ended with a matinee where the musicologist Dr. Lucian Schiwietz gave the talk \u201cHenselt anecdotic\u201d and a book presentation \u201cAdolph von Henselt (1814 \u2013 1889) Chronology of a fascinating life\u201d by Dr. Gebhard Kindl.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
